Job summary

Cullman Regional in Hartselle, AL seeks a PRN ED Support/Bilingual? role to assist the Emergency Department. You will handle phones, greet patients, perform clerical tasks, and support patient flow under supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, vital signs, and EKGs, with emphasis on confidentiality and safety. Requires a HS diploma and BLS within 6 weeks, with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within six weeks of employment.
• Venipuncture training required within six weeks of employment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet and assist arrivals using AIDET.
• Provide clerical support: data entry, inventory ordering, admissions and discharges.
• Support patient flow and unit paperwork; assist RN and ED physician under supervision.
• Coordinate with departments and services such as laboratory and environmental services.
• Assist with patient care tasks: venipuncture, vital signs, EKGs, dressings.
• Uphold HIPAA, infection control, safety and Joint Commission standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and competency validation.
