The RN will respond quickly to changes in patient condition, perform head-to-toe assessments, manage pain, and participate in triage processes to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Optional ENPC and TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
• Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families regarding pain management.
• Uses the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
