Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Reno, NV. The role is 24 hours per week with full benefits and a day shift schedule.

The RN will provide professional care, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure timely patient flow in a fast-paced ED environment. Requirements include an NV RN license, 2–3 years in ED or critical care, extensive EMS background, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License is required or preferred.
• Two to three years ED or critical care experience preferred.
• EMS background and ACLS/PALS within 6 months are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines and communicate patient changes to ED physicians.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and triage to ensure timely care.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret results, manage pain and educate patients.
• Support patient flow and deliver comprehensive nursing care per policy.
