Day Kimball Health is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in Putnam, CT for 24 hours per week on 8-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM). This role involves providing emergency care, collaborating with a dynamic team, and supporting patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Connecticut is required.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent required; if not currently certified, must obtain within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess health status of patients and families via health history and exam.
• Initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and interpret findings per protocols.
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of illnesses.
• Document findings and plan of care in medical records.
