Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) to work 32 hours per week during evening shifts (3p-11p). The role provides high-acuity, emergent care, with responsibilities spanning assessment, stabilization, and intervention in a fast-paced ED.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, CT RN license, and CPR certification, with ED experience and ACLS/PALS/ENA certifications preferred and orientation support provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification required; obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for ED patients.
• Assess health status via history and physical exam.
• Initiate therapeutic/diagnostic procedures and coordinate with physicians.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease management.
• Document findings and care plans in medical records.
• Consult with physicians per hospital policy.
• Intervene to maintain a safe environment and evaluate interventions.
