Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department, 32 hours weekly, 11a-7p. The ED RN provides emergent high-acuity care, rapid assessment, stabilization, and intervention in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering all phases of nursing care, performing procedures, documenting in the medical record, and collaborating with physicians. Required CT RN license, ACLS/PALS preferred, CPR, and accredited nursing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• RN license issued by the state of Connecticut is required.
• AHA CPR certification; if not current, obtain within three months of employment.
• Emergency Nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of ED nursing care.
• Assess health status by history and exam for rapid decision-making.
• Initiate procedures, order tests, and interpret results per protocols.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease management.
• Document care plans and coordinate with physicians.
