Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC partners with a premier regional healthcare facility in Mattoon, Illinois to recruit a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician. Board Certified or Eligible, you will provide high-quality care in a 32-bed ED and work a predictable rotation of three 10-hour shifts per month with double-physician coverage.

The position offers a competitive compensation of $475,000 per year, a $75k sign-on and $100k retention bonuses, and a low-burnout schedule (1,776 hours annually) along

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or extensive ED experience.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility.
• DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a 32-bed ED.
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician for double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and cardiac cases.
• Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month across three 10-hour blocks.
• Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties including psychiatry.
• Maintain thorough electronic medical records for all patient encounters.
