Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall is seeking an ED Registration Associate to support patient access and care delivery in the Emergency Department in Newburgh, NY.

You will greet patients, collect demographic and insurance data, verify information, and guide them through next steps while ensuring compliant record completion. The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of medical office experience with frequent customer interaction.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival in the ED.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Advise patients on next steps in the care process and ensure accurate records.
• Answer and direct calls, paging on-call providers, and staff as needed.
• Respond to emergency communications such as code calls and critical alerts.
