Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years experience; at least one year in medical office with frequent customer interaction.
• Basic computer skills required.
• English proficiency required; Spanish a plus.
• Previous patient registration or patient accounting experience preferred.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training bi-annually.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival in the ED.

• Ensure accurate and timely patient records per Joint Commission and DOH standards.
• Answer and direct internal and external calls; page on-call providers and staff.

The ED Associate ensures accurate and timely completion of patient records in compliance with Joint Commission standards, Department of Health (DOH) regulations, and hospital policies.
