Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an energetic patient registration representative to be the first point of contact in the Emergency Department. You will gather demographics, verify insurance, collect payments, and guide patients through the admission process with empathy.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced hospital setting. Prior data entry and Epic experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or institutional work setting.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; data entry skills.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and registers them, collecting demographics and insurance info.
• Enters patient data into the registration system accurately.
• Obtains signatures and explains required forms for third party payers.
• Coordinates financial counseling and collects payments as needed.
