Job summary

HiredFirst in Independence, MO is seeking an Emergency Department Clinical Manager RN to provide direct leadership of the ED, serve as a clinical resource, and act as a professional role model for nursing staff.

Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing or RN diploma, an active RN license, and at least 2 years of recent acute care ED Charge RN experience, with BLS, ACLS, ENPC and TNCC credentials.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ED Charge RN experience (within the last year).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) — must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) — must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership and oversight of the ED.
  • Serve as a liaison with the medical staff and integrate department services with hospital functions.
  • Coordinate care delivery across departments.
  • Oversee clinical operations, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage employment lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, and disciplinary processes.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate ED policies and procedures.
