SHR Talent partners with a healthcare client in Overland Park, KS to recruit an Emergency Services Nurse Manager (RN) for a 340+ bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center.

This permanent, full-time leadership role oversees the ED operations, about 90 FTEs, staffing, quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the Director of Emergency Services and nursing leadership, with opportunities to advance in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or actively pursuing a BSN with completion within 2 years of hire
• Current RN license in the State of Kansas or active Multistate/Compact RN license
• ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC or PALS certifications required within 90 days of employment
• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care Emergency Department leadership experience
• Current or recent Emergency Department Nurse Manager experience preferred; experienced ED Charge Nurses with leadership responsibilities may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for a high-volume Emergency Department, overseeing approximately 90 FTEs
• Manage department staffing, scheduling, workflow, productivity, and resource utilization while ensuring appropriate clinical coverage
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop Emergency Department nursing staff and foster engagement and teamwork
• Monitor nursing practice, patient safety, clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with the Director of Emergency Services and interdisciplinary teams to address operational challenges and improve patient experience
