Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support patient care across acute care areas in a fast-paced setting. You will float to ED and other designated units based on need, with a focus on timely, evidence-based interventions and strong collaboration with physicians and care teams.

This full-time opportunity offers day or night shifts in Colorado, a 36-hour weekly schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per policies and standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining safety and quality.
