Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department Float Pool. The position involves floating to EDs and other acute areas as needed, providing urgent, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates bring BSN, current RN licensure, and 1+ year of ED or acute care experience. The role offers full-time hours with day or night shifts and a 10% float differential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practicing state; compact licenses transferable within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
