Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Patient Financial Access Specialist-ED to support patient registration, verify insurance, and secure financial clearance across Emergency Department locations. You will coordinate with trauma, stroke, and other teams to ensure accurate demographic data, timely registration, and proper billing documentation.

Qualificações

• 2–3 years of customer service experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
• Experience with registration, scheduling, and third-party insurance verification.
• Knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and financial clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Interview and record patient demographics in EMR, following identity/red flag procedures.
• Verify insurance at the point of service and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Manage the ED Track Board to prioritize patient flow and handle registration queues.
• Process in-patient bookings (direct admits, maternity, etc.) and escort patients as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and support departmental goals.
• Follow department protocols for patient experience and registration workflows.
• Multitask on non-traditional registration tasks, including Cath Lab arrivals.
