Job summary

Trinity Health's Johnson Memorial Hospital in Connecticut is seeking an ED registration specialist to complete patient registrations and pre-registrations in a fast-paced emergency department. You will collect accurate demographics, insurance information, and patient liability details while coordinating with multiple hospital and web-based systems.

The role requires adhering to privacy and compliance standards, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with hospital computer

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or equivalent.
• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
• Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits
• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are
