Job summary

Bay Area Hospital in Wyoming is seeking an Emergency Department Clinical Educator to lead clinical education, staff development, orientation, and competency validation within the ED. You will partner with the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based practice, emergency preparedness, and safe, patient- and family-centered care.

The role includes daily department operations, mentorship, and ongoing professional development for ED staff, with emphasis on simulation,

Qualifications

• RN license required (Oregon)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN/MSN preferred
• AHA/ENPC/ TNCC/ BLS certifications or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical education and staff development within the Emergency Department.
• Coordinates orientation plans for new and transferring staff with Nurse Manager and preceptors.
• Maintains competency records, validates skills, and conducts simulations and drills.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice in ED.
• Educates staff on new equipment, medications, and protocols; reinforces hospital policies.
• Acts as a clinical resource and mentor for day-to-day department operations.
