Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a team member to support department operations, coordinate patient flow, and assist physicians and nurses. The role may include EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and daily living activities.

You will also perform lab tests, vital signs, acuity testing and chart results in the medical record; BLS within 30 days; 0-1 year experience; strong computer skills and compliance with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BLS-AHA required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Performs competently and safely in clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, ADLs and post-mortem care.
• Performs lab testing and specimen collection, documents results in the medical record (including Point of Care Testing).
• Performs vital signs according to protocol and documents interventions in the medical record.
• Performs visual acuity testing and reports results to nursing staff and ED attending.
• Performs oxygen saturation testing and reports results to nursing staff and ED attending.
