Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an entry-level patient care teammate to support department operations in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will assist physicians and nurses, perform basic clinical tasks, and help with clerical duties while maintaining patient confidentiality.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and BLS-AHA certification or acquisition within 30 days. Prior experience with computers and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS-AHA certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs competently and safely in clinical tasks listed (EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, ADLs, post-mortem care).
• Performs lab testing and specimen collection per protocol and documents results in medical record.
• Performs vital signs per protocol and documents interventions in medical record.
• Performs visual acuity testing and reports results to ED staff.
• Performs oxygen saturation testing and reports results to ED staff.
