Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; EMT/Paramedic training preferred.
• Certificate 1: Basic Life Support (BLS); Certificate 2: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and completes tasks delegated by nurses and physicians in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs duties including EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, and activities of daily living.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection; communicates results and documents in the medical record.
• Transports stable cardiac telemetry patients under ED nurse direction and prepares equipment for transport.
• Maintains inventory and cleans used equipment to keep daily operations running smoothly.
