Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) seeks an Admitting Patient Rep Lead to supervise the Emergency Department (ED) registration team, ensuring accurate patient data capture, compliant processes, and effective financial counseling. This role works closely with the ED Patient Access Supervisor to optimize patient flow and readiness for admission or discharge.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of CHLA registration and insurance verification experience.
• Or 3+ years of related external registration experience.
• Strong leadership and staff training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Admitting staff in the ED with minimal supervision.
• Assist with insurance verification and financial counseling for ED, direct admits, and surgical patients.
• Coordinate staffing, daily closure, QA processes, and report reconciliation.
• Train new staff and coordinate interdepartmentally.
• Oversee Good Faith Estimates and Financial Clearance.
