Job summary

Anchor Bay School District seeks an ECSE Para to support early childhood education. You will assist the classroom teacher, supervise students, and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.

Responsibilities include set up, materials prep, bus assistance where needed, and communication with parents. Part-time schedule, 6.5 hours daily, with strong emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Possess current certification in CPR for infant, child and adult and First Aid, preferred.
• Ability to work independently with students.
• Ability to keep order while motivating, inspiring, and insuring a safe, positive and welcoming learning environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with parents and school staff.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing, planning and providing a stimulating and enriching classroom environment.
• Maintain positive encouragement, classroom management and adult-child interactions at all times.
• Maintain a clean & safe classroom environment.
• Assist teacher with classroom set up, preparation of class materials, snack and snack menu.
• Assist & supervise children to & from the restrooms, including assisting with toileting.
• Assist teacher with bus arrivals, departures and riding the bus with students when necessary.
• Conduct/participate in group and work time activities according to teacher directions.
• Prepare children’s cupboards for going home folders, papers, projects, etc.;
• Assist teacher with communication and involvement with parents;
• Assist with assuring that all children’s records are complete, and
• Complete other duties, related to position, as directed by the building administrator.
