Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Maintain positive interactions and classroom management at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
  • Assist with maintaining student records and care plans as required.
  • Provide one-on-one support to a medically fragile student throughout the day.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as outlined in the care plan.
  • Monitor well-being and report changes to staff.
  • Support safe transitions between activities and environments.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement IEP/504 health plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
