Job summary

Hudsonville Public Schools is seeking a Special Ed Parapro for ECSE, 12:40-4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The paraprofessional assists teaching staff with students needing accommodations and helps implement positive behavior supports.

Under supervision of a licensed teacher, you will support instructional and social-emotional needs, help with data collection, and engage with families and staff to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructional materials
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and community
• Three years in general administrative assistant work and/or training

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and social-emotional accommodations under teacher direction
• Assist students with health, medical, or physical needs
• Help implement positive behavior support plans or emergency interventions
• Assist teams with data collection
• Maintain confidentiality and respect student needs
• Engage with parents, staff, and administrators to support student success
• Other duties as assigned
