Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) to support students and teachers in ECSE classrooms.

Responsibilities include instructional support, equipment and material handling, and helping with self-care activities, under the supervision of licensed staff.

Fluent English is required; Educational Aide Certification is preferred. This non-exempt paraprofessional role is based on the district's 188-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to TEA and district policies and procedures.
• Assist in carrying out the instructional program under supervision of teaching personnel.
• Assist in preparation, use and maintenance of instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist with teacher planned activities, exercises and drills.
• Follow teacher instruction and guidance.
• Assist in maintaining student records and audit folders.
• Assist in helping students in self-care activities (feeding/toileting).
• Participate in planned inservice.
• Perform other related duties as required.
