Job summary

South Coast Education Service District in Coquille, Oregon, is seeking an Instructional Assistant for ECSE. This .8FTE position supports the ECSE teacher in planning, implementing, and monitoring programs for children ages three to five.

You will assist with activities, record-keeping, and supervision across classroom and related settings. Responsibilities include supporting cognitive, social, motor, and communication goals, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent spoken and written language.
• Must be able to work harmoniously with a wide range of staff.
• Must like to work with children and have experience with children under five.
• Must respect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECSE teacher in implementing programs for identified children aged 3–5.
• Assist with toileting, hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Maintain materials and equipment.
• Complete attendance records and IFSP data as requested.
• Prepare bulletin boards and instructional materials.
• Supervise students across settings.
• Maintain regular attendance and confidentiality.
