Job summary

Family Fare in Charlevoix, MI is seeking a part-time eCommerce associate to manage online grocery orders, ensuring items are picked, bagged, refrigerated or frozen as needed, and ready for customer pickup in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include reviewing customer instructions, handling substitutions, maintaining quality control for perishables, scanning items, confirming totals, and following safety, PPE and food safety guidelines while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to develop knowledge of products and store layout for efficient picking procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the eCommerce process for receiving online orders and picking.
• Review customer comments and instructions to ensure correct items or substitutions.
• Ensure quality control for perishables during selection and packing.
• Scan order products and confirm totals for weighed items.
• Store orders at proper temperatures (refrigerator/freezer as needed).
• Report customer issues, shorts, overages, damages to management.
• Research and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Provide focused and effective customer service.
• Implement company service programs and maintain high service standards.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
