Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Ecologist to join the Nuclear Services Environmental Licensing Team. You will aid interactions with regulatory agencies, gather data during site visits, and stay updated on environmental regulations while supporting licensing projects nationwide.

The position offers location options including Overland Park, KS, with occasional fieldwork and regulatory reporting duties, and flexibility for remote work where approved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations (ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.).
• Experience working with federal or state regulatory agencies.
• Experience developing technical reports and environmental reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to travel/work in the field up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental reviews to assess the impact of proposed nuclear facilities on resources.
• Prepare environmental reports and biological assessments in line with NRC and NEPA requirements.
• Develop and present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist in fieldwork to collect data and evaluate terrestrial and aquatic resources.
