Job summary

Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support Certified Teachers in delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a sustainable classroom. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a nurturing environment for children ages 0-5, with strong communication to families and collaboration with the school team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standard.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and learning experiences that support whole-child development and integrate sustainability concepts.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and environmentally responsible classroom environment.
• Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor experiences, reporting incidents as required by law.
• Greet families and participate in sustainable communication practices and family engagement events.
• Attend required training and collaborate with the teaching team to enhance classroom systems and sustainability initiatives.
