Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support a safe, nurturing classroom and implement sustainability-centered learning with the Certified Teacher. You will help run daily activities, supervise children, and strengthen family engagement while promoting eco‑conscious practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration, ongoing professional development, and alignment with our HONOR values, preparing children for lifelong learning in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standard.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and learning experiences that support whole‑child development and introduce age‑appropriate sustainability concepts.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and environmentally responsible classroom environment by following sustainable routines related to materials, storage, and resource use.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor experiences while ensuring safety and reporting concerns.
• Greet families warmly and participate in sustainable communication practices and family engagement events.
• Attend required training and collaborate with the teaching team to enhance classroom systems, curriculum, and sustainability initiatives.
• Document observations for assigned children to support development and safety.
