Job summary

Baptist Health in Alabama seeks an experienced ICU nurse with ECMO proficiency to deliver advanced patient care in a high-acuity setting. The role requires critical thinking, rapid assessment, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to stabilize and treat patients with complex conditions.

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with an active Alabama RN license and BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU).
• 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with advanced illness requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Monitor and interpret ECMO equipment and life-support devices.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Provide patient and family advocacy and education.
• Delegates and coordinates care to ensure safe patient outcomes.
