Baptist Health Citizens Hospital in Talladega, AL is seeking an experienced RN for the ICU to cover night shifts (7p-7a) on a full-time basis. The role requires handling high-acuity patients, coordinating with ECMO services as needed, and providing exceptional patient care in a 122-bed facility.

As part of an integrated system, this position emphasizes teamwork, continuous education, and strong leadership presence to support staff and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN licensed ICU nurse with responsibilities in high‑intensity patient care.
• Experience with ECMO or willingness to train in ECMO support.
• Ability to perform rapid assessments and respond to changing patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for complex ICU patients.
• Monitors specialized equipment and interprets data from cardiac monitors and other devices.
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Develops individualized care plans and evaluates patient progress toward outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintains patient safety and family advocacy throughout care delivery.
• Delivers care across age groups with developmentally appropriate considerations.
• Precepts and supports new staff and participates in unit education.
