Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography with advanced techniques.

The role requires patient-centered exams, collaboration with physicians, and contribution to QA/PI activities across the network. The ideal candidate will have cardiovascular technology credentials, at least 1 year of cardiac ultrasound experience, and proficiency with echo reporting systems, while maintaining tissue

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Cardiac Ultrasound preferred.
• Registry by Cardiovascular Credentialing International/National Board of Cardiovascular Testing/American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient using two identifiers.
• Provide total patient exam experience according to echocardiography policy.
• Assist the performing physician during exams.
• Assist in gathering QA/PI for ICAEL Accreditation.
• Maintain professional development through in-services/continuing medical education.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace, equipment, and restocking supplies.
• Cross-train for EKGs, Holter monitors, event monitors and stress testing.
• Process echo images and documentation into the echo reporting system.
• Demonstrates competency with department information systems.
• Knowledge of insurance codes, cardiology procedures, and required paperwork.
