Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking an echocardiography sonographer to perform adult echocardiograms across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings near Myrtle Beach, SC. The role follows ICAEL standards and includes both stationary and portable exams.

The candidate will perform TTE, TEE, dobutamine, and stress echo; use contrast/bubble studies to optimize imaging and maintain quality. Graduation from an echocardiography program and BLS certification are required, with RDCS/RCS/CRCS pursued within

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited echocardiography program.
• Must obtain RDCS, RCS, or CRCS within one year of graduation.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The echocardiography sonographer independently performs adult echocardiograms and reports preliminary impressions as indicated.
• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, dobutamine and stress exercise echocardiograms; uses contrast and bubble studies to enhance image quality.
• All other duties and assignments as directed.

Responsibilities

The echocardiography sonographer independently performs adult echocardiograms and reports preliminary impressions as indicated. All exams are performed within standard protocols guided by Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography (ICAEL). The sonographer performs stationary and portable exams in the inpatient, outpatient, and procedural setting.

Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, dobutamine and stress exercise echocardiograms. Performs contrast and bubble studies to enhance image quality.

All other duties and assignments as directed.

Qualifications

Graduation of an echocardiography program required.

Must obtain an appropriate credential (RDCS, RCS, or CRCS) within one year from the date of graduation of echocardiography program.
