Job summary

McLeod Health seeks an echocardiography sonographer to independently perform adult echocardiograms across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings, with preliminary impressions reported per ICAEL protocols.

The role covers transthoracic, transesophageal, dobutamine and stress echo procedures, including contrast and bubble studies to improve image quality; standard protocols govern all exams.

Qualifications

• Graduation of an echocardiography program required.
• Must obtain an appropriate credential (RDCS, RCS, or CRCS) within one year from the date of graduation of echocardiography program.

All exams are performed within standard protocols guided by Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography (ICAEL). The sonographer performs stationary and portable exams in the inpatient, outpatient, and procedural setting.
• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal, dobutamine and stress exercise echocardiograms. Performs contrast and bubble studies to enhance image quality.
• All other duties and assignments as directed.
