Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a qualified candidate to perform echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs at Hilton Head Heart Clinic in South Carolina. The ideal candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, and will be responsible for recognizing, calculating, and interpreting hemodynamic data.

You should possess a Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification and preferably have two years of echocardiography experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt care based on patient age are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs. Recognize, calculate, interpret, and analyze hemodynamic data from echocardiography studies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2‑Year Associate Degree or higher preferred. Certification program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted.
  • Graduate from a formal cardiovascular program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
• Experience: Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS); new graduates will have 6 months to pass the registry, required.
• Additional Skills:
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient age.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age‑specific needs.
  • Considerable verbal communication skills to effectively share observations and input with nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.
