Job summary

McLeod Health in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform adult echocardiography and stress/echo tests, ensuring high-quality images and patient comfort.

Required to be a graduate of an accredited Echocardiogram Technology program with licensure as a Reg Diagnostic Med Sonographer; you will join a team focused on precision, continuous education, and protocol adherence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiography and stress/echo tests.
• Ensure high-quality images and accurate preliminary reports.
• Explain procedures and position patients as required.
• Maintain work logs and collaborate with physicians to meet protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greets and confirms patients, assists patient with appropriate attire for procedure.
• Explains procedure length, properly positions patient for procedure, and expectations along with desired results.
• Selects and utilizes appropriate technical factors for procedure based on body habits, pathology, and body parts.
• Processes completed images making sure they are of interpretable quality.
• Continues to develop professionally through continuing education programs and in‑services.
• Complies with all policies of the system with the intention of delivering the highest quality of service.
• Primary responsibilities include performance of the following procedures: Adult Echocardiography, Stress/Echo tests. Additional responsibilities include maintaining work logs, providing preliminary reports, and working closely with physicians to ensure protocols are established and met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Echocardiogram Technology program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Reg Diagnostic Med Sonographer.
