Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a part-time Echocardiographer for days, 16 weekly hours. Shifts are 8 hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm with on-call requirements.

The role involves performing Echo and Stress Echo tests, TEE, and Doppler studies in multiple labs and at the bedside. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, graduate from an accredited echocardiography program, and hold RCCS/RCS/RDCS within 12 months of hire along with BLS and ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program.
• RCCS / RCS / RDCS certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms.
• Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and bedside.
• Complete the technologist report in the structured report application.
