Job summary

Sentara Beach Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, including TEE, with Doppler ultrasound support. The role spans the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR and ICU, providing bedside patient care and a rotating 8-hour shift.

Qualified candidates will hold Cardiovascular Technology credentials or an equivalent, with Echo Tech experience accepted in lieu of education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or high school diploma.
• Echo Tech experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, as well as Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
• Doppler ultrasound and work across the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and bedisde care.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA. Work Shift: Rotating. Shift: Full-time 8‑hour shifts starting at 8 am. Call required.

Position Overview

Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. The role includes work in the Cardiac Non‑Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU, and bedside patient care.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree – Cardiovascular Technology or High School Diploma.
• Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes

License and Certifications

• Basic Life Support – Required
• Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.
