Job summary

Sentara Leigh in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, TEE and Doppler exams. The Echocardiographer will work in the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR and ICU, and also provide bedside testing.

Required education includes a Bachelor's level degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a high school diploma, with Echo Tech experience allowed in lieu of education. ARDMS/RDCS/RCS certification must be completed within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a High School Diploma
• Echo Tech experience may substitute education
• ARDMS, RDCS or RCS certification required within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform Echo, Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Doppler exams
• Work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP, Cath Lab, OR and ICU
• Provide bedside echocardiography services to patients

Position Overview:

Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma.
• Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes

License and Certifications:

• Basic Life SupportRequired
• Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.
