Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo/Vascular Technician to support our clinical team in performing diagnostic vascular and echocardiography exams. The role focuses on high-quality patient care, safety, and coordination with physicians and caregivers to achieve timely and accurate imaging results.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified level II/III candidates, a full-time 40-hour schedule with 10-hour days, and rotating Saturdays at Saint Joseph Hospital.

Qualifications

• Echo Technologist IARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
• 1+ year of experience
• Echo Technologist IIARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Must obtain two of the national registry credential(s) through ARDMS, CCI, or ACS (e.g., Vascular technology, RPHS, TCD, Adult Echo, etc.).
• Minimum qualifications for higher levels include advanced registry credentials and experience over 10–15 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with department protocols and in a timely manner.
• Prioritize and schedule exams; coordinate with medical staff, physicians, and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedures; transport patient as needed.
• Document exam results and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; coordinate repairs or replenishments.
• Participate in educational opportunities and quality improvement initiatives.
