Qualifications

• Echo Technologist IARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) from an accredited institution.
• Multiple years of echocardiography experience may be required for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams following department protocols and in a timely manner.
• Prioritize and coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and safety.
• Document exam results and coordinate with physicians and caregivers.
• Mentor students and other caregivers in equipment use and techniques.
