Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures in adult patients. The role includes echo, vascular imaging, stress echocardiography, and TEE as needed, with a focus on accuracy, patient safety, and procedural documentation.

The candidate should possess RVT and RDCS/RCS certifications, a BLS credential, and a strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Sonography - Vascular (RVT) and Cardiac (RDCS or RCS)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all cardiac echo and vascular procedures as determined by department.
• Follows protocol for elements to include in technician reports before MD review.
• Explains procedures to patient and/or family; prioritizes urgent cases.
• Maintains PI documentation for cardiac and vascular ultrasound; inputs data for charges.
• Performs equipment maintenance and ensures a safe, clean environment.
