Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Vascular Sonographer to perform vascular ultrasound procedures with independent judgment and to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation. The role requires good knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology and care for patients from adult to geriatric ages.

This position includes 12-hour shifts from 6pm to 6am Fri-Sun with on-call coverage for emergent vascular cases as needed, as determined by the manager.

Qualifications

• RV T or vascular ultrasound certification required.
• Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in vascular field or an associates degree preferred.
• Good knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular ultrasound procedures with independence and clinical judgment.
• Communicates findings to physicians and documents results.
• Assists with patient care, equipment, and supplies; participates in quality improvement.
• Provides care across adult to geriatric age groups and participates in on-call coverage.
