Job summary

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification required for cardiac/vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department protocols.
• Prioritize, schedule and coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare patients and perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and staff.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and work area; support quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students in equipment use and techniques.
• Provide education to caregivers, fellows and students as appropriate.
