Job summary

Intermountain Health's Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT, seeks a vascular-focused sonographer for a full-time 40-hour-per-week position, including weekend, holiday, and on-call participation.

You will perform ultrasound exams, mentor students, coordinate with staff and patients, and ensure safety and timely, quality care. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; education from accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
• Prepare for exams by educating patient and family and following identification processes.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
