Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo/Vascular Sonography position at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. This full-time role is ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field, offering a 40-hour work week and opportunities for professional growth.

Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts are required, with a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 for qualified external candidates. The candidate should have ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; degree verified from accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by educating patient and family and transporting patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and family.
• Return patient to room and ensure stability after exam.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and technique.
• Document exam results and needed information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Coordinate repair or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support team and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in education to ensure clinical competence and develop skills and knowledge.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
