Job summary

Mount Carmel, a leading health system and part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform echocardiography studies and support cardiovascular imaging services. The role emphasizes patient care, data accuracy, and collaboration across departments in a dynamic hospital setting.

The candidate should hold ARDMS/CCI credentials or be registry-eligible with plan to certify within 12 months, and possess at least 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience alongside

Qualifications

• High school education required; an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• ARRT radiologic technology credentials or registry-eligible status.
• ARDMS RDCS/RVT or CCI RCS/RVS certifications or board-eligible with plan to certify within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and verify correct procedure and patient identity.
• Perform echocardiography studies per policy and accreditation standards.
• Accurately document health history and enter data into testing systems.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to team members and other departments.
• Assist with equipment evaluation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Pursue professional development and participate in accreditation activities.
• Maintain competency through annual competency reviews and training.
