Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks an experienced Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS) to perform advanced pediatric and congenital heart studies, including 2D, Doppler, and transesophageal echocardiography, with data calculation and prep for interpretation by medical staff. This is a full-time, day-shift role in the Peds Congenital Heart HDVCH department.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in an accredited ultrasound program (Bachelor's preferred) and ARDMS/RDCS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree
• Required skills, knowledge, abilities in echo including 2D, Doppler, color Doppler, TEE, TTE, stress echo and congenital heart disease.
• Preferred 3 years of relevant echocardiography experience

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cardiac testing including echocardiograms and related studies as indicated
• Calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation

Scope of work

Performs a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree
• Required skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs
• Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs
