Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital is seeking a Part-time Cardiac Ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography, including 2D imaging, Doppler, and transesophageal studies, while mentoring fellow staff and students.

Responsibilities include training personnel in technical performance and cardiac pathology, with on-site work at the Grosse Pointe location and a 24-hour weekly schedule. RDCS/ACS/RCS credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent. Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, m-mode, transesophageal, and echocardiograms.
• Instruct medical personnel in technical performance and clinical application of cardiac ultrasound.

Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center , a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.

Scope to Work

Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients. Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.

This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credentials are required .

Qualifications

Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
